Instructor Talent Manager

Chicago, IL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advocate for SoulCycle instructors internally to represent instructor interests, as it pertains to career growth and trajectory
  • Serve as the main point of contact and primary source of information for instructors
  • Manage instructor development plans and review processes with the respective People Business Partner
  • Deliver ongoing and balanced feedback to instructors in alignment with People, YSM, Field Operations, Rider research/survey insights, as well as during the bi-annual review process (mid year & end of year)
  • Liaise with Instructor Training and Development with regard to team trainings and resource sharing in order to provide class quality assuranceHold office hours for instructors to reserve time for 1:1 conversations, development and feedback 
  • Partnering with Scheduler on casting to optimize rider and brand experience 
  • Partner with regional District Manager(s) & Schedulers to drive business revenue through scheduling strategies and tactics
  • Visit studios/instructors regularly (at least 2-3 days a week, ride with everyone in your roster regularly) 
  • Oversee instructor involvement with retail and marketing photo shoots and other content creation, Equinox Media, and Sirius XM *In partnership with retail, and marketing, and Equinox portfolio
  • Partner with Talent Operation Manager to ensure instructor population is receiving real time communication and updates surrounding his/her/their employment and business contribution
  • Partners with Roger & Team on lookback information and instructor stats (participate in quarterly audits) 
  • Instructor On-Boardings/Off boarding/Transfer 
  • Own individual instructor onboarding from graduation to schedule in collaboration with the training and people teams
  • Submits IAF information for all trainees and instructor relocations 
  • Partner with IT, instructor development and people team to identify areas of opportunity and instructor activation setting up new hires for proper market entry instructor Benefits, Total Rewards, and Medical/Personal Leave 
  • Facilitates communication should an issue need to be escalated or addressed with anyone more directly tied to each department 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 professional years of experience working in Casting and/or Talent in the Entertainment and/or Fitness industry.
  • Strong coordination with curating and managing multiple schedules at one time
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle a high volume of email and phone calls
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and multi tasker
  • Organized and strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to execute quickly and effectively
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and non-traditional hours; including extensive travel and field work
  • Self-starter
  • Team player & strong individual contributor
  • Perform with the highest level of confidentiality
