Hero is looking for a Digital Designer (UI/UX) who will be responsible for designing all Hero digital properties (e-commerce website, internal platforms) incorporating research and strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive that can not only execute, but build frameworks for our rapidly growing company. This role will report to the Digital Channel Manager and work closely with the Creative Team and Marketing Team.

What you’ll do at Hero

Take design ownership of the Direct-to-Consumer website
Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around website needs and opportunities
Work cross-functionally with digital, growth, marketing, and creative peers
Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, IA, and high-fidelity visuals
Design and ship high-quality website improvements
Develop hypothesis, iteratively test, and analyze results
Look at Hero as a Digital brand and work on internal digital initiatives to improve the workflow of the company

Types of projects you’ll work on

Put yourself in the new user mindset and create effective user flows from different points of entry into the site
Develop hypotheses on what users need in order to make a purchase
Run experiments on how to increase conversion and average cart size
Pair with growth to track how the changes perform
Collaborate with the creative team on maintaining the design system and testing variations

We’d love to hear from you if you

Have +4 years of experience in UI/UX at an agency and/or high-growth consumer-facing brand
Have a strong command of data-driven email design and expert knowledge in HTML/CSS
Love tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear goals
Leverage analytical skills to create new opportunities of work
Are successful working collaboratively as well as taking complete ownership of a project
Have the demonstrated ability to lead large projects
Have a passion for design systems, type systems, and framework thinking
A “no task is too small” attitude
Posses strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay close attention to detail and are well organized
