Workplace Operations Manager

Tinder is on a mission to change the world by bringing people together and facilitating millions of connections that otherwise might not have been possible. We’re looking for a Manager of Workplace Experience to lead the strategic and tactical operations of our workplace experiences.


Reporting to the Associate Director of Workplace Experience, you will be responsible for implementing Tinder's Bay Area workplace programs, ensuring that our office space and culture continue to be inclusive, inspiring, and empowering. This role will own office reopenings in Palo Alto and San Francisco to build a seamless workplace experience as we evolve the way we work post-COVID.


You will:

  • Provide strategic direction for our workplace experience programs, focused on providing outstanding support for our employees in a distributed work environment.
  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of and all employee experience perks and programs including wellness and fitness offerings, food programs, and transportation and parking programs.
  • Develop communications around employee experience and workplace initiatives; crafting timelines, materials, and managing collaborators
  • Handles all service programs such as food and beverage, shipping and receiving, transportation, office supplies, and interior office maintenance for our Bay Area offices.
  • Lead a team of coordinators that provide and iterate on the mission of making Tinder a best place to work.
  • Own office operating budget and forecasting.
  • Supports the execution of company events including employee communication, vendor and key partner management.
  • Work with site leaders and team members to improve our office services
  • Ensure all new hires are onboarded in a way that highlights the best parts of our culture.
  • Recommend and establish best practices for all on and offboarding activities.
  • Lead and implement ongoing workplace projects and office moves.
  • Manage vendor performance. Ensure vendor support meets KPI metrics and satisfaction of workplace operations.
  • Partner with Planning and Design on capital projects and ensure that office aesthetics are maintained, meeting regulatory and company standards.
  • Prioritize ambitious priorities across a wide variety of teams and senior leadership
  • Ensure that the workplace supports the health and safety of all employees and visitors.
  • Proactively analyze work order tickets to understand and mitigate any issues.
  • Partner with facilities leads to ensure all HVAC, MEP and Security Systems are maintained and that each office meets company standards as well as all safety and sustainability guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned


You Have:

  • Extensive experience with “back-of-house” services while understanding the required partnership with “front of house” needs and schedule
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, with an ability to express high-level concepts efficiently and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
  • Get results. Work with the Director of Workplace to regularly forecast and set goals to build an environment of experimentation. Analytical thinking and precision in execution is vital to hit those goals.
  • Share information. Communicate across the organization to ensure timely resolutions, quality control, and process feedback.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think creatively, and produce innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in working with ambiguous requirements and taking thoughtful risks
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
