Web Marketing Specialist

About the Web Marketing Specialist:

The Web Marketing Specialist will manage the day-to-day administration and maintenance of OpenGov.com, including optimizing the user experience and SEO while offering regular insights on web performance to the marketing team.


Web Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade website
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues
  • Update HTML, CSS and JavaScript regularly
  • Perform regular site tests to optimize across all browsers on desktop, mobile and tablet devices, including creating a testing matrix for regular use
  • Track website SEO performance and set strategy around improving ranking for high-intent keywords
  • Stay up to date on SEO best practices and news, including algorithm updates, and communicate impact and process improvements to the marketing teamImprove the user experience of the website, with a focus on user flow from landing to conversion.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets high standards
  • Report regularly on website performance metrics, and provide recommendations for growth.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations, including ADA compliance and the privacy policy
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in web management required
  • Expert knowledge of WordPress and W3C Web standards required
  • Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, and JavaScript required
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console
  • Great understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Paid Per Click (PPC) required
  • Experience in Salesforce and Marketo integration preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment required
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills required
