VP, Paid Marketing

Conde Nast is seeking a strategic performance marketer who is highly analytical and has experience managing campaigns across revenue streams and platforms profitably. The Vice President will oversee paid initiatives across various Conde Nast properties and multiple formats. 


Location: NY 


Key Responsibilities

  • Build an overall paid strategy for Conde Nast based on demand across various revenue streams e.g. subscriptions, e-commerce, continuity business, events etc.
  • Hire, onboard and develop top talent and act as a mentor and leader to team members
  • Optimize spending strategy leveraging key target audience segments, geographies, audience funnel opportunities, and a strong A/B testing framework.
  • Establish overall revenue goals and budget allocation for various revenue streams based on robust forecasting process (taking into account CAC, LTV and marginal value)
  • Develop channel specific CAC leveraging appropriate attribution model to maximize ROI for each business line and holistically for the company
  • Partner with various revenue leaders, brand management and audience teams to maximize spend ROI across the entire consumer funnel (entire audience journey)
  • Partner with various consumer revenue leaders to execute on pricing and promotional campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships with both marketing platforms (Meta, Google, YT, Snap etc) for innovative acquisition opportunities and partners/agencies that can drive scalable acquisition profitably on these platforms.
  • Build new partnerships to diversify spend options
  • Partner with the Analytics teams to maximize ROI using attribution models 
  • Partner with Product & Creative teams to inform assets creation for maximal impact
  • Communicate overall performance to senior leadership, and develop opportunities for additional investment



  • 10+ years experience in performance marketing and 5+ years in team management
  • Experience with e-commerce and subscription marketing
  • Solid Understanding of publisher ecosystem  
  • Experience buying and negotiating ad buys for both US and international markets
  • Experience with marketing attribution frameworks
  • Deep understanding of optimization algorithms, bid types, targeting, and buying strategies across existing and emerging marketing platforms
  • Budget management and/or P&L experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Very detail oriented.
  • Thoughtful, collaborative leader with strong communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Strategic thinker and also an agile executer
