VP of Technology

Remote (United States)

The Technology team at Glossier creates and manages omnichannel digital experiences that delight customers and drive sustained business value. The Technology team spans several disciplines, including Product Management, Engineering, Digital Design, UX Research, Security, and Tech Operations (IT). This role will report into the Chief Commercial Officer. This role can be performed remotely within the U.S. 

Glossier is seeking a seasoned technology leader to shepherd the company’s next phase of digital innovation. 


  • Create and articulate a compelling Omnichannel vision, strategy, and roadmap that enables near and long-term customer engagement and business goals
  • Lead the Technology team in the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative digital products that enables our community to engage with the brand with a great customer experience in all channels
  • Drive prioritization decisions and manage resources (both internal teams and external agencies) to enable execution of the technological roadmap.
  • Make technology investments and develop capabilities to enable the company’s vision and business objectives 
  • Serve as the company’s technology expert, making decisions that will impact current and future company operations
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional partners across Glossier to achieve near and long-term business goals.
  • Manage and mentor members of the Technology team.


  • 15+ years of domain/technical experience 
  • Significant experience leading a Technology/eCommerce function, preferably at a Consumer/Retail or high growth company
  • Experience with utilizing technology to enable physical retail stores 
  • Masters degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • Experience with Shopify’s ecosystem/ tech stack 
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across a variety of functional roles and able to delegate efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate a clear strategic vision for customer centric digital experiences.
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.
  • Expert in technological development with a proven track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Strong cross-functional partner with active listening and organization skills.
  • Dedication to great customer experiences, from end to end in the customer journey.
  • Strategic and analytical; data and hypothesis driven. Able to see the forest through the trees
  • Must be willing to travel as needed to Glossier’s New York headquarters and/or retail store locations
