VP of Sales

The VP of Sales is responsible for five key functions at Ethyca; recruitment of a highly technical enterprise sales team; selling and directing sales teams in deal structure for maximum efficacy; optimizing the sales process, tactics, materials and reporting to operationalize a high-growth team; working closely with the CEO, growth marketing and product teams to define the sales strategy of the organization and finally, take absolute responsibility for maximizing closed business. 


As the leader of a high performance sales team, the VP of Sales is responsible for owning and defining the deal cycle, building and mentoring a technical sales team and developing effective systems and procedures to maximize sales results across SDRs, Enterprise Account Executives and Solutions Engineers in selling to multiple technical (development. operations, and security) and executive audiences (legal and governance).


In the role you can expect to...

  • Work closely with the CEO to define sales process, tactics and systems
  • Rapidly take ownership of the sales pipeline and optimize the reporting and monitoring of the sales cycle
  • Lead sales hiring across all roles with the objective to rapidly build a highly effective, technically skilled sales organization 
  • Become a subject matter expert in Fides and Ethyca so as to provide mentorship to the cross-functional sales team and form the role of trusted advisor to executive leaders of client organizations
  • Define the sales strategy in close consort with the CEO, growth marketing and product teams.
  • Take ownership of reporting and forecasting for the sales organization
  • Play an active, strategic role in the senior management team


We're looking for...

  1. Proven track record in leadership of sales team in a technical enterprise sales field
  2. B.S. degree or MA in a business related field 
  3. Minimum of 7 years experience in a sales leadership position.
  4. Minimum of 4 years experience working in a selling role and with sales technology and CRM software.
  5. Outstanding interpersonal communications, public speaking and network capabilities
  6. Proficiency with enterprise sales tools and their optimum operations for success
  7. Track record in sales operations, process building, training and sales material planning
  8. Detail oriented reporting and forecasting capabilities


We are hiring US-based candidates for this remote role with a preference toward candidates in the NYC area as the role will require East coast working hours.
