VP of Product

Remote (United States)

Twilio Engage is our new omnichannel growth platform that revolutionizes how businesses build and optimize personalized marketing campaigns.


We are now seeking an inspirational product leader to define, build and implement the product strategy and roadmap for Twilio Engage. 


The desired individual will work seamlessly with stakeholders including external customers, as well as internal teams including engineering, product marketing, sales, finance and more. This key executive will build and lead a world class product organization, as well as develop and maintain a strong, successful partnership with engineering.


Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the product vision and strategy for the Twilio Engage in collaboration with all stakeholders and ensure alignment across the entire organization.
  • Bring rigor to product management - create an environment focused on ruthless prioritization, customer success and trust, and significant business outcomes.
  • Drive a continuous discover/build/ship/learn cycle for the Engage R&D teams with a clear short and long term roadmap that delivers on the vision and continuously unlocks value.
  • Be a model in customer orientation. Build trust with stakeholders through empathic engagement, clear convictions, and high-integrity commitments. Create clear roadmaps for internal and external customers.
  • Build and develop an impactful product team that wears the customers' shoes. Provide career development opportunities that enable every individual to be an exceptional product manager.
  • Partner with engineering to build a culture of empowered product teams where all roles excel together and deliver as a single team.
  • Be a great partner to sales and customer success - support, listen, guide and enable.

Required:

  • 12+ years of product management experience building large scale cloud services platforms, ideally in a multi-product portfolio company. This should include firsthand experience of building category-defining, scalable products for marketers.
  • 10+ years people management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, lead, recruit and retain successful product management teams.
  • Proven track record of results - establishes bold goals, achieves/over-achieves those goals and takes ownership for overall business outcomes.
  • Innovation and critical thinking - track record of driving companies through transformative change with the ability to see the big picture while also being hands-on and in the details.
  • Gravitas - executive presence, strong communication skills, ability to communicate business value, as well as product features/benefits.
  • Rigor, methodology and data-driven - outcomes oriented and a problem solver.
  • Customer obsessed - passionate about the customer journey and customer experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify sophisticated concepts into essential messaging for the purpose of enabling and influencing others.
  • Structured, proactive problem solver who can quickly prioritize and implement action plans in dynamic environments.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve upon existing approaches and methodologies - with the ability to create and implement processes when necessary.
  • A passion for technology, in particular marketing and data solutions. 


Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building marketing automation and/or customer data platforms.
  • Solid understanding and experience in bringing products to market at scale.


Location 

This role will be remote, and based in the USA.

Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $250,000 - $310,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
