VP Monetization and Pricing

Newtown Square, PA

Development and ideation of business models and monetization frameworks, within solution area and across solution areas. Example of activities include understanding technology landscape for solution area, developing and recommending a new business model that drives additional growth or market share or proposing modifications to existing business models to increase their market relevance or create revenue growth acceleration.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop business models and monetization strategies that reflect the product and go to market strategy of the solution area
  • Use analytical and data driven approaches for business model recommendations taking into account industry trends and core product use cases
  • Understand engineering roadmaps to ensure monetization strategies build on each other and are durable over the long-term
  • Work closely with finance teams and the P&C teams to ensure that business model recommendations are aligned with strategic objectives and maximize revenue and/or share
  • Build investment cases for innovative business model approaches to motivate customer adoption and usage
  • Present, influence and align executives and the broader organization through cross-functional work

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLSET

  • Minimum 7-10 years of related experience in Monetization, Economics, Finance, Price and/or Sales Operations in a cloud technology environment
  • Excellent collaboration skills and bias for action
  • Effective in written and verbal communication skills, particularly with executive audiences
  • Basic understanding of cloud business applications and on-premises licensing models in B2B technology
  • Ability to research and articulate competitor business models and how cloud competitors generate revenue
  • Ability to break complex problems into discrete solvable components and apply rigorous logic to arrive at solutions to financial or economic business challenges
  • Ability to create followership across a diverse and matrixed organization and ability to influence executive audiences
  • Growth mindset, creative problem solver who thrives in an ever-changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Fluent in English
