VP, Marketing Lifecycle

Additional Location: Remote - Chicago IL US IL | Stamford CT US | Remote - Timonium MD US - MD


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify actionable profit-based marketing and product opportunities through customer analysis and actionable data driven insights
  • Partner with Marketing, Credit, Finance and Client Development to develop integrated solutions to grow credit penetration and net income
  • Develop proformas and decision optimization models to evaluate product value propositions to increase cardholder engagement and profitability
  • Provide strategic thought leadership and influence client teams to implement marketing and product strategies based upon customer, financial and data driven insights
  • Forecast key drivers and conduct portfolio diagnostics to influence the Op Plan and Quarterly Submissions. Understand how key drivers can be leveraged to identify strategic opportunities
  • Establish test and control strategies to measure bottom-line impact of targeting strategies by leveraging Test and Learn and advanced analytical tools such as segmentation, and statistical models
  • Identify opportunities to improve targeting and segmentation to optimize campaign performance for acquisition and lifecycle with a strong ROI focus for both PayPal and eBay
  • Partner with PayPal and eBay to determine best strategies for digital placements to drive higher conversion rates
  • Act as a strategy and consultant for large-scale initiatives, providing guidance and leadership for the design, analysis and measurement phases of the project
  • Develop automated performance tracking of KPI’s across multiple platforms using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Birst
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 5+ years of work experience in credit and/or marketing analytics in the financial services, credit card and/or payments industry
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience, including:
  • 5+ years’ experience within the financial services, retail or credit card payments
  • 5+ years using statistical analysis tools and data warehouse tools


Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven hands-on experience managing a client relationship through analytics
  • Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, digital tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and storytelling
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
  • SAS or SQL data mining skills and open source tools such as R and Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience using external data sources for benchmarking and actionable insight
  • Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work independently, yet as key member and contributor to a broader team


Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
