VP, HR Business Partner, CoverMyMeds

Columbus, OH

McKesson is hiring for a VP, HR Business Partner (HRBP). We are seeking an experienced HR leader who can effectively interact with senior business leaders, possess significant business acumen and flawlessly execute on key business initiatives. The VP, HRBP will interface with senior leadership across the Access & Adherence Channel, their direct reports and HR colleagues across McKesson. This leader will support one of McKesson’s Invest To Grow segments and will lead, influence, and execute talent initiatives to drive double digit growth.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for partnering with function executive leadership to drive forward the people agenda and transformation. 
  • Ensures integration of strategy and solutions both within the corporate functions and in partnership with the CoEs and Shared Services. 
  • Oversee HRBPs in support of the business.
  • Co-create priorities focused around business strategy, workforce implications, workforce priorities, and HR priorities. 
  • Facilitate future-focused discussions on talent and culture of the organization. 
  • Champion HR solutions with function executive leadership. 
  • Act as a problem-solving partner to the business. 
  • Supporting attraction & retention through strong employment brand and employee value proposition.
  • Continuously improve and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion outcomes at all levels through hiring, development, and promotion.
  • Proactively facilitate discussions on organization and people ideas. 
  • Provide coaching to executive leaders.  
  • Focus on core HRBP work and engage with other BU HRBP leads, CoEs and Shared Services as needed to drive outcomes.


Job Family

Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resource and organizational and employee development at the business unit or division level. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change). Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem-solving.

 

Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination ​Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 15+ years of professional experience and 10+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

 

Critical Skills

  • 10 - 15+ years of Human Resources experience, including 6+ years of managerial/leadership experience.
  • Prior HR experience in a fast paced, invest to grow/high growth business.
  • Ability to navigate and influence within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Prior experience supporting senior executive teams with a track record of proactive decision making and driving results through their strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical and innovative thinking skills.
  • Experience diagnosing individual or team issues and recommending interventions.
  • Strong organization design, change and talent management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to operate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong consulting and project management skills; comfortable working as an individual contributor, leading a project team or managing a disbursed workforce.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • High level of poise and self-confidence.
  • High potential, agility, adaptability with strong technical HR skills.
  • High level of comfort with data and analytics.


Preferred Skills

  • Healthcare industry experience is helpful but is not required.
  • Technology industry/talent pool experience is helpful but is not required.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to carry and operate a laptop
  • Travel - every other month
