VP, Global Real Estate Center of Excellenc

The Global Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead is a senior Estee Lauder strategist who works in partnership with Estee Lauder’s Brands, Regions and Functions to execute the organization’s vision and define and establish the overall direction for the Estee Lauder’s corporate real estate portfolio The Global CRE CoE Lead plays an active role in analyzing the effectiveness of the real estate portfolio, the real estate organization’s position in relation to the overall business goals and objectives, and optimizing real estate portfolio in meeting current and future challenges especially in a post-COVID world. He/she sets policies and establishes medium- and long-term goals across areas of responsibility, which substantially impact budgets and operations for many years. The Global Real Estate Lead ensures all real estate activities meet/exceed customer service level requirements within the overall operational effectiveness goals.


Key Responsibilities

• Set overall Estee Lauder strategic direction and vision for the provision of real estate and facility services for all business units in globally and improve continuously the delivery of services through subject matter expertise, knowledge of client business needs and industry / market trends

• Establish and oversee the Real Estate operating and capital budgets

• Set policies, service standards and goals requiring long-term business planning and forecasting.

• Leverage the global real estate team and direct the management of the global real estate portfolio to optimize space utilization and effectiveness.

• Manage the risk of all real estate leases across all business entities – ensuring compliance with the SEC and other internal controls

• Set strategy for acquisition / disposition of strategies, centralize and approve all real estate transactions across Estee Lauder

• Provide leadership, direction, development and employee supervision for the global Real Estate organization

• Lead the relationship management between Real Estate and other internal and external customer groups and business units to ensure correct alignment with business priorities.

• Review strategic service delivery model options to ensure the correct balance between outsourced services and core in-house services.

• Define strategic outsourcing decisions. Manage top management relationships with external service providers (define and sponsor strategic direction, ensure execution).

• Account for high-level external and internal customer satisfaction. Work closely with top level leadership executives at a global, regional and GU level. Maintain open and proactive communication with all levels of management.

• Represent Estee Lauder Real Estate to our senior executive leadership and in front of the other BP’s (Finance, Real Estate, Legal, etc.).


Qualifications

• 10+ years Real Estate service industry experience with similar corporation preferred

• MBA in Business, MBA or MA in Finance or related field

• Demonstrable ability to achieve goals through influencing, partnering and developing relationships with Executive Leadership team and other key stakeholders across the business.

• Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Business financial accounting skills

• Cross geography and cultural management skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to develop and oversee operating and capital budgets

• Strong time management skills

• Excellent program/project management skills

• Proven ability to think outside of box and innovate highly desired
