Dow Jones is seeking an experienced VP of Technology, Data and AI with proven skills as a technical leader and architect to build, mentor, and guide our team of data, ML, and AI engineers.
You will be responsible for shaping and executing our data and AI strategy, ensuring the development and implementation of new and innovative solutions that drive our business forward.
As a key member of the engineering leadership team, you will lead the strategic direction and implementation of cutting-edge data management, analytics, and AI solutions.
You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming and ideation to production launch and on-going development of our data products. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven decision-making processes and advancing our capabilities in AI and ML.

Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and AI specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable and robust data architectures aligned to deliver business outcomes and objectives.
- Ensure effective data governance, quality, and security standards are maintained.
- Drive the development and deployment of ML models, AI algorithms, and other advanced analytics solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI and data science.
- Evaluate and select technologies and tools for data processing, storage, ML, and AI development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, program, and business units, to understand data and AI requirements that meet business needs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Provide direction for prioritization and resource allocation.
- Build and model a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership roles overseeing data engineering, machine learning, and AI initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise financial data and research products.
- Experience collaboratively transforming data and analytics to deliver business insights.
- Experience building products that serve millions of users daily.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align data and AI strategies with organizational goals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience working in media is a plus.

Pay Range: $345.000 - $410.000
