VP Engineering & Cloud Operations

As a Vice President, Engineering, for Automation Anywhere you will apply your engineering leadership skills and knowledge of infrastructure and software development to drive ultra-scalable and highly reliable software systems for Automation Anywhere products and services.

This role is responsible for the big picture: determining how our systems relate to each other and using a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. Deep understanding of software architecture using microservices and system design building scalable SaaS products with quality. Responsibilities:

Lead multiple software development teams and product lines, including staffing, mentoring, enhancing, and maintaining best-of-class software development across multiple teams and disciplines
Collaborate with architects, product managers, software development managers, and developers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach, delivering value quickly to customers without sacrificing software quality
Manage and optimize the overall software development lifecycle with an emphasis on productivity and automation
Deliver operational excellence for SaaS products
Drive software development roadmaps, operational plans, and the management of execution against project plans and delivery commitments within an Agile/Scrum environment
Report on development status, quality, operations, and system performance to executive management and act quickly and decisively to resolve customer-impacting issues
Manage departmental resources, staffing, and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class development teams for product lines
Evolve and improve the software development practice within the organization, including better practices, reporting, tools, and evolution of development methodology
Develop strategic directions, workforce plans, and organizational structure
Be a key strategic leader of Automation Anywhere Cloud products and Operations

You will be a great fit if you have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
7 years of experience with software development (e.g., algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis) and/or systems design (e.g., Unix/Linux, IP networking, performance/reliability).
15 years of experience managing a team and experience managing multiple cross-functional projects.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a related technical field.
Industry leadership experience in building enterprise class SaaS products.
Growing and managing highly effective 24x7 Cloud Ops architecture and teams
Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries, forming alliances with other members of the executive leadership team, and building bridges that support functional as well as company goals.
Ability to identify trends and promote solutions that solve challenges efficiently across multiple product areas.
