VP, Digital Marketing and Media

We are searching for VP of Digital Marketing and Media who will be responsible for directing and managing the inhouse digital and media studio. The position includes optimizing the digital marketing strategy for Foot Locker, Inc brands including acquisition and retention activities. In addition, to driving the macro global digital marketing, media, CRM strategy, and ensures the banner strategic visions are integrated into all digital paid touch points. The VP, Digital Marketing and Media will ensure alignment with Senior leadership and external vendor partners to maximize resources for timely and accurate decision making and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the vision, strategy, tactics, and day to day management of Foot Locker online marketing channels focused on driving both in-store and online traffic and revenue:
  • Video
  • Paid Search/SEM
  • SEO

  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Display/Programmatic Advertising
  • Email
  • SMS/MMS
  • App Messaging
  • Other new channels as appropriate
  • Lead innovation and advancement of the digital marketing agenda through a multi-year roadmap
  • Work with stakeholders to implement a retail calendar-based approach to planning while ensuring omni-channel optimization of marketing spend
  • Work with Loyalty Team to drive repeat purchase, and improved revenue performance while engaging our customers to develop long term relationships
  • Leverage customer and performance data to accelerate improvements in overall marketing efficiency and customer acquisition, understanding consumer insights and translating data into digital strategies
  • Work with the marketing organization in supporting execution of omni-channel programs targeted to specific consumer segments and based on individual customer behaviors
  • Enhance existing digital CRM strategy to drive retention and improved lifecycle marketing metrics
  • Partner with the larger organization to understand objectives and goals and be the subject matter expert on performance marketing and media within the organization
  • Actively partner and collaborate with cross-functional Brand Marketing and Ecommerce teams to ensure a consistent message and focus across all consumer touchpoints
  • Scale the capabilities of the entire marketing organization with the management of all marketing related technologies
  • Build, develop and retain a world-class Digital Marketing team by optimizing the organizational structure, defining the appropriate set of 3rd party partner relationships, creating learning and development opportunities that drive engagement and career growth
  • Oversee our macro global digital, media, acquisition, and retention strategy
  • Proactively plans and executes powerful digital brand initiatives while working to deliver an exciting retail experience through all marketing programs
  • Ensures consistency across all channels and drives to improve cross-channel integration and meet sales goals for all brands
  • While driving and encouraging new, innovative ideas across all areas of the business; customer engagement and experience are the primary focus
  • Defines the internet channel promotional cadence and maintains the marketing calendar to reflect planned promotions
  • Develops ROIs for executive approval, in support of proposed promotions
  • Tracks, reports, and reacts to the success of these tactics through internet analytics tools and other information sources
  • Continually encourages innovative website, email, and other digital content (copy, design, rich media) through greater marketing team to present the true brand value and presentation
  • Strongly manages and oversees a diverse group of individuals and disciplines to ensure divisional objectives and strategies are understood and tactical plans support
  • Works closely with Multi-channel Marketing to attract more customers through affiliate programs, search engine marketing, email, remarketing, product recommendations, etc.
  • Partners with I.T. to continually improve user experience, usability, and site functionality, defining requirements, monitoring design, and performing user acceptance testing of new site features
  • Develops and adheres to an annual expense budget

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from four-year college or university
  • At least 5+ year of related management experience in e-commerce, preferably retail environment. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing disciplines that drive brand marketing.
  • Build partnerships with diverse teams from product to corporate marketing.
  • Exceptional communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency. 
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver projects in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. 
  • Deliver solutions to complex problems with multiple goals.
  • Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Script reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Able to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, client partners, customers, and the general public.
  • Understanding and interpret of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of Database software, Internet software and Word Processing software.
