VP, Demand Creation & Integrated Marketing

We are looking for a seasoned leader to run our Demand Creation and Integrated Marketing team, reporting to our Global Head of Field Marketing. As VP Demand Creation at Slack, you will be responsible for defining and delivering on a marketing strategy that supports the attainment of annual sales revenue objectives.

The VP Demand Creation is responsible for designing multi- touch demand creation programs that support overall marketing strategy and objectives and deliver on growth targets for new business and expansion revenue. Specific responsibilities include determining the tactical mix, designing offers and calls to action, and setting individual program goals and measurement criteria. Additional responsibilities include managing external agencies and internal resources, creating demand creation programs “in a box” for global and regional field marketing execution, and building/managing shared demand creation processes for marketing. This role will lead a team of demand generation and campaign managers.  The ideal candidate operates with a growth mindset, a data-informed approach, strong collaboration skills, customer focus, and a relentless drive to deliver results.

What you will be doing

  • Determine the fiscal-year demand marketing strategy, plans and resource allocations to support the go-to-market strategies leveraged in each region 
  • Work with product marketing (industry, solutions, product), brand, regional field marketing, marketing operations and other teams as appropriate, to ensure ongoing agreement on priorities, set and achieve goals, making adjustments to accommodate changing market conditions and emerging opportunities
  • Collaborate with extended marketing team members in region who specialize in defined demand, digital and account-based marketing, and help design and execute program plans that deliver measurable results supporting current-year sales growth objectives
  • In conjunction with campaign team leaders and field team, establish a common campaign framework for the global and/or regional marketing community that reflects the needs all regions
  • Work with Web site resources to ensure that inbound traffic can be converted into known leads through a best-in-class Web experience
  • Interlock with marketing operations and strategy on the end-to-end lead management process including lead capture, nurturing, and service-level agreements (lead definitions, lead acceptance/rejection reasons and disqualification reasons etc)
  • Lead and continue to build a hardworking and diverse team of marketers


What you should have

  • 10+ years growing and supporting successful B2B demand creation programs 
  • A minimum of 6 years of marketing leadership experience and managing teams
  • Analytical mentality and a data-informed approach to problem solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, often amidst ambiguity
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with excellent project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - and a love for working in highly cross-functional environments
  • Superb communication and the ability to inspire senior executives, peers, and direct reports with your vision and roadmap
  • Critical thinking with a bias towards action and creative solutions, a player-coach attitude, and willingness to pitch in to help your small team accomplish lofty goals
  • Track record of consistently producing results on time and within budget
