VP, Acquisition Marketing

The Card Acquisition Marketing department is the growth engine for the company, focusing on acquiring new customers, delivering award-winning customer experience, and driving continuous innovation. This role will oversee marketing teams that are focused on driving new accounts, identifying incremental growth opportunities, designing tests, and managing overall channel operations including end-to-end customer experience. This position will also oversee the entire acquisition marketing budget, therefore, an ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.


As VP of Acquisition Marketing, you will lead performance marketers to acquire new customers, shape and implement channel- specific strategies, focus on performance metrics, and deliver measurable results. You will focus on scaling business through continued evolution and improvement of paid marketing efforts. You will be responsible for developing world-class digital capabilities and marketing solutions that propel performance marketing growth. You will ideate, plan, launch, and optimize customer acquisition campaigns to drive sustainable and efficient CPA at scale. You will manage a large marketing budget and profitable P&L. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal cross-functional partners, such as Brand, Product, Risk, and Analytics to deliver growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans to acquire profitable new accounts. Manage large marketing budget allocation across multiple channels to drive sustainable and efficient CPA at scale.
  • Drive digital and business change, lead adoption of new ways of working, and leverage storytelling to drive understanding & adoption of change. Adopt & lead a team to embrace safe & sound business practices at scale
  • Provide thought leadership within and keen awareness of the external digital space, with established network of external partners to inspire out-of-box thinking, keep Discover at the forefront of new marketing practices, and achieve industry best-in-class positioning.
  • Build & lead diverse, highly engaged, high-performing teams. Cultivate talent through coaching and training.


Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing, or related
  • 4+ years of people management


Preferred Qualifications
