Visual Designer

Interested in joining a fast-paced and ambitious creative team? The Grocery Creative Studio is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Visual Designer to support our Amazon Fresh stores, including in-store advertising campaigns and executions. This role will be an integral part of the creative team and focus on advertising campaigns that drive traffic and preference to our offerings and brands.

You will work closely with the business development team and establish the foundational framework for creative guidelines and templates in regards to Amazon Fresh in-store advertising, develop business development assets, style guides, design systems, and/or processes for both physical/print and digital ads, and provide overall creative support for the team.

You can also work independently and in ambiguity, managing your own work queue and proactively engage stakeholders directly regarding requirements, definitions, and deadlines. You are great at collaborating with other designers, writers, photographers/stylists, production specialists, business partners, and vendors, bringing the best out of each interaction. You have expert knowledge of the creative process and strong instincts on how to create a plan of action that fits each project. You can respond to creative briefs with business acumen and maintaining the customer as the main stakeholder. A love for design and strong organizational skills are basic requirements, as is the ability to manage expectations of internal and external partners. Key job responsibilities

  • Effectively interpret briefs, respond with fresh ideas, and work well under pressure, quickly developing error-free creative across multiple mediums
  • Independently deliver exceptional creative resulting in a superior customer experience across marketing campaigns, promotional assets, and digital
  • Translate marketing and communication strategies into effective design strategies and visual communications solutions
  • Independently ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations, including adherence to established timelines and budgets, and alignment with Legal
  • Review and provide actionable feedback on Creative Team members' designs and projects
  • Produce video, photography, digital, print, and motion graphics with in-house resources, or outside production and agency partners
  • Ensure the highest standards are achieved, processes and guidelines are continuously improved, and results are delivered
  • Present and validate visual design solutions to leadership and business partners
  • Drive efficiency and scale through improvement and/or automation
  • Draw from existing brand guidelines and standards
  • Document and implement new design standards, methods or processes
  • Review color proofs for accuracy and quality


  • 4+ years of experience as a graphic designer, visual designer, or similar with experience in digital and print design
  • A diverse design portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skill, relevant experience, and measurable results
  • Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects) and Sketch
  • 3+ years of experience developing campaigns
  • 3+ years of experience managing and art directing photo and video shoots
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and creative processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, listening), problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to leadership
  • Ability to work within, and collaborate on, design systems
  • Experience maintaining high-quality creative and strong attention to detail across multiple projects operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment


  • Fluent in basic design principals (typography, composition, scale, color theory, etc.) and a deep understanding of how those principles work together
  • Proven knowledge of strategic marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic creative and solutions
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high-quality work
  • An exemplified mastery of the principals of design, color theory, typography and illustration
  • Unwavering attention to detail and relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities
  • Experience working with brands
