Video Producer

Foster City, CA

The Visa University Productions (VUP) and Visa University External (VUX) teams are looking for a Video Producer to join the effort to create exceptional training for our clients globally. In this role, you will be an instrumental part of the team that is creating training content for both external and internal learners. You will work closely with product managers, designers, vendors and subject-matter-experts to leverage training content originally built for instructor-led purposes taking in the effort to produce hundreds of short, compelling, and high-quality training videos for our digital subscription library.


For this role, you’ll have technical understanding of all aspects of video production including camera, audio, lighting, talent prep, script-writing, editing, motion-graphics, media management, etc. to ensure that end-product meets high-quality production standards. You’ll bring your organizational skills and focus on detail to be able to drive projects from pre-production through post-production to publication.


Primary job responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for managing the video production workflow to get VUX content produced as videos – directing and managing video production from start to finish
  • Work closely with VUX product team members and vendors to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Establish processes that enable successful and timely production at scale
  • Facilitate studio shoots and maintain/schedule studio space
  • Overall responsibility for media management and media management practices
  • Ensure video content conforms to Visa and Visa University style-guides, standards and look and feel
  • Maintain consistency of transitions and style templates with other VU learning products
  • Plan, establish and meet deadlines and milestones
  • Drive evolution, optimization and maturation of VUX video production practices and processes
  • Talent preparation and directing of talent during shoot
  • Participate fully as a team member by contributing solutions/processes for continually improving efficiency and quality of work
  • Handle multiple tasks, problem-solve and maintain a proactive attitude
  • Use constructive criticism as a vehicle for improving your skills and knowledge


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working in various aspects of video production with demonstrable portfolio of work
  • Understanding of cameras, lenses and related gear
  • Understanding of lights and lighting setups and related gear
  • Understanding of media management
  • Understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition
  • Understanding of codecs, compression, and video standards
  • Understanding of color correction and color grading

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.


Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
