Vice President, Project Management

The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for planning, delivery, and governance of BlackRock’s technology project portfolio, major initiatives, and M&A integrations. Additionally, our Agile Center of Excellence is responsible for BlackRock Agile, Agile Delivery Leads, transformations, coaching, and training.

Role Responsibility:

  • Lead is responsible for PMO Operations supporting BlackRock’s Technology project portfolio consisting of a multi-million dollar annual budget planning (PBA), program planning, onboarding of projects, cloud requests, and information security cloud service certification, and project portfolio reporting.
  • Responsible for PMO & Agile Tools support and team management.
  • Lead responsible for major initiatives such as M&A integrations and strategic projects.
  • Responsible for Demand management, program/project management oversight.
  • Partner with PMO leads & technology functions to plan and deliver BlackRock’s technology project portfolio.
  • Lead identification of risks, actions, and issues through proactive communication and collaboration with partners and various teams
  • Improve speed of business value delivery through collaboration.
  • Actively remove impediments that block delivery progress for project teams.
  • Champion and foster project change management processes and procedures
  • Foster team accountability while ensuring continual flow of high-quality value delivery, standards, and practices.


Resource Management

  • Lead program planning, onboarding, and PMO & Agile Tool team
  • Lead Major Initiative team


Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university
  • Experience leading and/or supporting cross functional teams
  • Innovative self-starter with a passion.
  • Collaborative work ethic working in a fast-paced environment
  • 5 + years of experience leading large scale projects
  • 3 + years leading large scale transformation programs, involving business process and change, organization change, and multiple large-scale technology components
  • Experience with M&A integrations such as people & technology integrations, process integration, and supporting launch events.
  • Experience in business and solution development, project/program management, and project delivery
  • Ability to interact optimally with various levels within the organization through verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Travel: Potential travel up to 25% depending on program needs
