YOUR MISSION

  • Directly responsible for ensuring all stores within Puma North America consistently achieve or exceed sales, KPIs and profitability goals through effective use of short- and long-term planning and expense control.
  • Lead and oversee the corporate Store Operations and Store Development teams, ensuring industry leading execution in all areas.
  • Guarantee consistent high standards of customer experience within Puma North America in accordance with PUMA’s core values and service standards.
  • Responsible for recruitment, training, development, accountability, and succession of high performing results driven Regional and District Managers.
  • Accountable for understanding and maintaining own level of Product Knowledge as well as directly responsible for Store(s) Team Member’s level of Product Knowledge and the ability to communicate it to customers in keeping with the Be NICE selling program.
  • Ensure all stores are visually maintained to company visual and marketing guidelines.
  • Ensure all stores are held accountable to basic operating standards, policies and procedures, and cleanliness expectations.
  • Analyze, and react, to business performance and trends to impact results for all stores.
  • Accountable for ensuring retail store payroll and profitability goals are met.
  • Create innovative methods to drive increased revenue and profitability to respond to unexpected business trends in partnership with merchandising, planning, allocations, and marketing.
  • Create, support, and comply with all corporate Strategies and Initiatives
  • Identify and influence future growth strategies, including Marketing, promotional, and merchandising opportunities within Puma North America.
  • Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, tourism and local market trends, and competitive information to impact and drive business.
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships and negotiate effectively with internal colleagues such as Merchandising, Retail Support, Planning and Allocation, and Human Resources.
  • Communicate merchandise and promotional opportunities within Puma North America to Merchandising and Marketing Teams.
  • Communicate real estate opportunities for PUMA within Puma North America as well as understanding the retail landscape/competition of Channel.
  • Ensure new stores are opened on time and within budget.
  • Required to travel each Region twice per month.
  • Executes planning, participation, and facilitation of Store Manager and Field Leadership Meetings.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly business / leadership meetings in the home office.
  • Participate in merchandise review meetings to ensure regionally driven product needs are met.
  • Represent the brand and utilize the PUMA 4Keys (Fair, Honest, Positive, Creative) in all decisions, actions, processes, and practices.


YOUR TALENT

  • Bachelors Degree or a combination of education and at least 5 years experience in a senior level retail operations position.
  • Five to seven years of multi-store management experience required in a focused, customer service-oriented retail environment (preferably apparel/footwear) with results driven track record
  • Success in this position is dependent upon individual’s proven abilities in leadership, organization, communication, decision-making and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to exceed sales while meeting payroll goals, demonstrated ability to identify, hire, train, develop and retain top talent Managers as well as teams, ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication, ability to present information to large groups
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Practical experience in Project Management, skills in implementing communications methods and event management
  • Commercial acumen
