Drive revenue growth and profitability for the Original Penguin Golf channel by leading sales, business strategy and operations. Develop and execute comprehensive plans to expand market share, distribution and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Green Grass, Off Course, Specialty, E-commerce, and Sporting Goods channels.
- Lead and mentor a team of inside sales representatives and independent reps.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, golf management groups, and tournament organizers.
- Proven track record of growing businesses
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service.
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (merchandising, design, sourcing, marketing) to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct profitability analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven track record in Green Grass and off course golf sales management and leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Business Admin. Required, MBA preferred
- Proven experience in a leadership role in golf apparel sales, ideally as a Director or Vice President of Sales, with 5-10 years of experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans that resulted in business growth.
