Vice President of Corporate Strategy

The VP, Corporate Strategy position will support the executive team and drive continuous growth with in-depth sector analysis including market, trends, competition, and regulatory environment. You will be working with Pond’s business and technical leadership at all levels to identify growth opportunities, assess investment opportunities and risks, and provide data-driven insights to support management decision making processes.


This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be a mostly in-office workplace model. The headquarters office is in Peachtree Corners, GA.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal and external intelligence on macro, market, and competitive events and trends (e.g., emerging business models, new capabilities, traditional and non-traditional / emerging players, ongoing M&A activity), distill key insights and metrics and articulate relevant opportunities or threats for our company.
  • Run strategy projects to assess new opportunities or identify solutions to potential threats (i.e., articulate and size the opportunity / solution; identify implications and potential competitive responses; prepare execution objectives, plans and metrics; and prepare presentation material, socialize it with key stakeholders, and present to senior executives).
  • Assist internal teams in planning, tracking and executing their strategic initiatives.
  • Lead working sessions with cross-functional internal (top, middle management) and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities: facilitate the process, contribute with thought leadership, analyze, and distill the outcome of the sessions, and create executive-level recommendations or feed them into the annual and quarterly strategic planning process.
  • Assist in the evaluation of M&A opportunities to assess the strategic and financial fit of potential acquisition targets and partners. [Develop the business case in a cross functional team with CEO, CFO, Vertical Lead and Private Equity Ownership group.]
  • Support annual Strategic Thinking & Planning process: identification and prioritization of opportunities, coordination of internal teams and creation of an enterprise view, stress-testing of financial projections / forecasts, preparation of material for key meetings with CEO, Board of Directors and [Private Equity ownership group].   • Act as liaison between Corporate and internal teams to keep the latter ones appraised with the enterprise strategic direction and collect from them input on main trends, events, opportunities, issues, and decisions in their businesses.


What experience you need:

  • High energy, with strong will and ambition to learn and work on new things.
  • MBA, Management Consulting, Investment Banking and/or Private Equity background is preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in strategy roles, of which 3+ in management consulting firms or investment banking, with a proven track record of (a) leading strategy projects while working across multiple stakeholder groups and (b) defining and delivering a cross-enterprise strategy.
  • Experience in Engineering, Architectural, or other Professional Services businesses and in leading strategic engagements for Planning and M&A is preferred.
  • Highly independent in thinking and framing problems, driven by intellectual curiosity.
  • High degree of comfort in managing multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Executive presence and comfort with presenting to senior executives
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align and coordinate internal resources.
  • Refined skills in developing and delivering compelling presentations.

Additional Information 

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Vice President with a salary range of $162,200.00 - $271,100.00 .
