The Vice President, IT Data & Analytics will serve as a member of the Information Technology executive management team and will have responsibility for ensuring our end-to-end technology will enable our company vision as we transform into a sustainable solutions company while streamlining our core operations to help optimize performance and meet business objectives.
This role will use its deep business and technical acumen to partner with leaders across the organization to ensure strategic alignment in our roadmaps, prioritization, and execution of investments, and achieve value capture from ongoing operations.
This role is accountable for executing and enabling the enterprise roadmaps for our Core, Tire Centric, and Mobility Solutions business by managing all aspects of complex, multi-functional, simultaneous technology transformation programs.
The ideal candidate is a proven and persuasive transformational leader with personal and professional skills and experience to lead through complexity and ambiguity; who inspires, motivates, and guides others; and who can team with our leadership group as we transform and make technology and the IT organization an accelerator for the company’s vision.
This role will partner with executive leaders across all areas of our business to define business unit strategies and transformation initiatives that leverage digital technology.
This role will manage the prioritization of business demand by evaluating and balancing strategy, objectives, current capabilities, and performance; own the roadmap of leading solutions and capabilities; successfully deliver strategic and operational programs that balance enterprise standardization and business customization trade-offs to maximize overall business value; lead our transition into an enterprise of digitally aware, data savvy, and agile minded team members; and will ensure quality and compliant ongoing operations.
In addition to partnering with stakeholders across business functions and IT leaders delivering business value, this role will also partner closely with leaders responsible for Information Security, Data Privacy, and Legal to ensure the protection and compliance of Bridgestone’s data assets.
The role is accountable for Data Quality & Governance, Strategic Data Management & Operations, Data Innovation, and Analytics and Insights which ensure that data is effectively leveraged across the enterprise as an asset and delivers measurable value.
As part of Data Innovation, this role will lead the development and governance of Bridgestone’s AI strategy to unlock the value potential balanced with comprehensive risk management.
Data Quality & Governance: Advising, defining, monitoring, and governing the processes to ensure enterprise data is of high quality, secure, timely, consistent, and compliant.
Strategic Data Management, & Operations: Enabling data usability, availability, accessibility, monetization, and efficiency for the seamless flow and access of trusted data and information including static and in motion.
Data Innovation: Driving enterprise digital transformations, cost reduction, and revenue generation including the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Generative Artificial Intelligence.
Analytics and Insights: Supporting analytics and reporting on products, customers, operations, and markets to drive insights and influence business decisions.
Responsibilities
- As part of the IT leadership team, develop and guide our organization as we transform our capabilities, processes, and teammates into a nimble and accountable department that enables our Bridgestone America’s vision. Actively invest in the success of our teammates through employee life-cycle processes including recruiting, purposeful development coaching, performance management, deliberate capability building, and tough teammate decisions.
- As business partner, exhibit strong business acumen and manage relationships and communications with business executives including C-Level regarding strategy development, roadmap execution, and operational performance.
- As transformation leader, assess emerging technologies and identify new methods to improve the organizations strategic position and business performance through a data strategy aligned to the technology strategy. Provide insights to executive leadership on technology advancements relevant to business areas and ensure IT is enabling profitable growth strategy.
- As an investment steward, develop budget, impact, positioning and ROI for programs and operations. Align and ensure connection of the plan with the needs and requirement of business and deliver objectives while meeting financial targets.
- As implementation expert, deliver large scale transformational programs and targeted operational projects that build incremental revenue sources, streamline business process and data, reduce complexity and cost, rationalize technology, and ensure sustainability.
- As technology owner, ensure compliance with the standards and regulations required for the industry, and ensure technical health and sustainability through technology currency and day-to-day ongoing operations.

- Minimum Undergraduate Degree, MBA or an advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience with a demonstrated track record of results in leading and building high performing teams
- In-depth business acumen regarding business process, operational drivers, and key performance measures for supported functional areas
- Experience and demonstrated technology knowledge including business and technical architectures, software and infrastructure platforms, security and controls, and applicable data required to enable the supported functional areas
- Multiple examples of proven ability to define and deliver highly complex and multi-national programs that enable business transformation and deliver bottom line business objectives and ROIC
- Experience managing blended teams that are 100+ of internal and external and budgets that are multi-millions annually
- Experience with Agile software development principles and values; Can operate with a two-speed approach by dealing with/simplifying legacy systems while operating in a new business model/platform that focuses on a fully digital enterprise, and consumer facing mobility platforms and connected vehicles
- Excellent interpersonal relationship management skills with strong customer focus, high emotional intelligence for organizational navigation, effective communication and presentation skills to all levels of the organization including front-line employees and C-suite executives, and passion for operating on high performing teams
