Vice President, Head of Employee Listening & Research

The Employee Listening and Research team seeks to answer BlackRock’s most important people questions via the power of continuous employee listening and data science. Our charge is to align each survey, analysis, and model back to our talent strategy and priorities with the ultimate goal of improving the experience of every BlackRock employee. We are looking for a strategic leader who can come in and scale a team to fast-track our ambitious employee listening strategy!


Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will set strategy, priorities, and timelines for firmwide employee listening – including pulse surveys, lifecycle surveys, and business specific surveys.
  • You will have the opportunity to work directly with senior leaders to craft firm-wide surveys, analyze results, develop insights and recommendations, and agree on actions.
  • Your team will be comprised of I-O psychologists, survey analysts, and data scientists.
  • You will partner closely with leaders across HR centers of excellence (including Talent Strategy; Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion; Leadership & Management; Learning; Talent Acquisition, etc.) to measure employee and candidate experience.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7-10 years of experience (or equivalent education) in data analytics and insights; master’s or doctorate degree preferred
  • Strategic and forward-thinking
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with employee engagement surveys, employee lifecycle surveys, pulse surveys, and 360 surveys
  • Experience in either R or Python or other statistical programming languages
  • Experience with data consolidation and visualization tools (Tableau)
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, MS Access (SQL) and PowerPoint
  • Expertise in Qualtrics
  • Knowledge of Workday is a plus
