The Accounting team is one of the main pillars of our Finance department. Our vision in Finance is to become a center of excellence for our team and our company. YOUR MISSION
We are looking for a Global Controller to play a leading role as we continue to grow and help organizations around the world work better together.
This role will work within Finance Operations and you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of accounting management including overseeing the monthly close process, preparation of financial statements, and ownership of the annual audit.
You will report to the CFO and will work closely with leaders across the organization to continually improve processes within Finance Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage team responsible for the accurate accounting and billing for the organization.
- Oversee global accounting and banking records, ledgers, and reporting, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Preparation of reconciliation and analysis of company results against trend and budget, including the reconciliation of global intercompany activity, with supporting analysis and commentary to internal and external parties.
- Responsible for coordination and timely completion of the year-end audit.
- Serve as a key accounting technician to research various accounting issues and new accounting standards such as but not limited to revenue recognition, investments, and consolidation/elimination rules.
- Develop policies to ensure the company operates in compliance with company policies and procedures, GAAP, IFRS, Financial Accounting Standards (FASB), and other regulatory requirements.
- Involvement with ad hoc requests for both data and analysis, leading and/or participating in cross-functional to drive financial and operational improvements.
- Involvement in due diligence on potential acquisitions. Also, involvement in post-acquisition accounting and financial reporting integration.
- Continuous transformation through the identification of processes that can be optimized or automated for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training, mentoring, and development to accounting staff to ensure the function performs at maximum performance levels.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and CPA required
- 7+ years of public and private accounting, with experience in a global corporate setting
- Proactive engagement of business issues combined with thoughtful solutions
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and deliver results
- Strong Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills are a must
- Experience working in a private equity backed environment a plus
- Excellent communication, writing, and problem-solving skills
