Vice President, General Manager

San Bruno, CA

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 20 years of professional experience, including 10 years in the technology field with team/people management and strategy experience.
  • Experience creating, executing, and delivering against a product roadmap and driving business impact.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple technical and non-technical functional (i.e., Engineering, Product, UX, partnerships, marketing, category management) and working with cross-functional and cross-product area partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating within and/or leading cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
  • Understanding of the shopping and commerce ecosystem, and experience building and scaling consumer or merchant products.
  • Understanding of international nuances in the retail ecosystem and experience building products that scale globally but can meet local needs.
  • Understanding of social media and advertising ecosystems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent and advocate complex business or technical concepts.
  • Passion for and thought leadership within retail and/or e-commerce.

As Vice President, you will lead our Shopping on YouTube efforts globally. You will use your commerce acumen to transform and scale Shopping on YouTube.


In this role, you'll be able to take initiative, be willing to try new things, and manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. You will be an enthusiastic team player and work cross-functionally with partners across product, engineering, content partnerships, finance, marketing, regional leadership, policy and communications, among others.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + Bonus + Equity + Benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Drive exponential growth with a rapidly-evolving technology and business model. 
  • Build and execute product roadmap for YouTube’s shopping offerings. 
  • Reimagine how video and YouTube can be used to connect consumers with retailers. Serve as a representative for YouTube’s shopping offerings. 
  • Lead and inspire a team of product managers and engineers while also driving collaboration and partnership with cross-functional partners (e.g., partnerships, business development, marketing, content development, etc.) as well as cross-Product Area partners.  
  • Communicate and advocate best practices to partners to support the strategic priorities of Shopping on YouTube.
