Vice President, Corporate Development

The Vice President, Corporate Development is responsible for identifying, sourcing and leading the execution of M&A deals, joint ventures and other strategic investments. Reporting directly to the SVP Corporate Development, this position identifies opportunities, complements and evaluates information provided by sellers on growth opportunities, conducts financial analysis, collaborates on financial projections, and assists on purchase agreement negotiations. The Vice President serves as the lead point of contact for cross-functional planning, due diligence and integration teams.


This opportunity offers a hybrid workplace model offering the flexibility to work remotely as well as in our newly renovated state-of-the-art HQ building in Midtown!


What you’ll do:

  • Partner with business units and individual market leaders to identify and map strategic opportunities for inorganic growth including: gathering and evaluating local market information, competitor positioning, market sizing and business trends.
  • Conduct initial assessment of targets/acquisition candidates, including identifying, researching, and analyzing companies for possible acquisition (evaluating for strategic fit, conducting initial discussions with the appropriate BUs, gaining an understanding of the industry/external views, and technical research related to acquisition candidates.
  • Perform financial modeling to include valuations, corporate impact (EPS, ROIC etc.,) and business modeling. 
  • Communicate impact of deal findings and analysis to BU/EFX including a review of the results with BU leader and BU finance leader. 
  • Conduct due diligence/integration support to include project management and/or integration support for specific deals.
  • Provide deal management leadership for the deal transaction process including coordination with internal and external resources and documentation of the transaction.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment banks, financial institutions and consulting firms to create a strong M&A pipeline.
  • Collaboration in the coordination of business integration post-purchase


What experience you need:

  • 10+ years in M&A in a combination of corporate development, investment banking, FinTech, and/or private equity
  • 7+ years leading due diligence, negotiation, and deal structuring in a fast-paced corporate development environment
  • Demonstrated executive presence and business acumen for engaging with internal/external stakeholders, building industry relationships, and partnering with senior leadership, the CEO and their direct reports
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance


What could set you apart:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance or other post graduate degree
  • Experience navigating matrix environments
  • FINRA Series and/or CFA licenses is a plus, but not required
