Vice President, Commercial Cloud

The Vice President will own growth, business development, delivery, and profit responsibility for this business area and owns the overall business strategy and investments that are made in future capabilities. The focus of this position is to develop and drive growth through strategic plan and business delivery model. The VP is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the vision of the organization. Position requires proven success leading a technology / commercial business at the VP or GM level, in an organization that has demonstrated sustained growth and full P&L responsibility more than $100M in revenue or comparable organization size that delivering cloud, data, application digital modernizations, Information technology consulting and managed services to the commercial market.


Key responsibilities of the role:

  • As the growth leader, this person will have direct revenue responsibility and will strategically develop the roadmap to drive new business revenue, while maintaining high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate must have a successful track record of bringing in new business through new and current relationships and ensuring client delivery teams are effective. Additionally, they will be responsible for generating, qualifying, and closing new business for the company in our target business areas.
  • Have a successful track record capturing large strategic opportunities in the commercial market
  • Ability to organize and lead Company responses in support of business development hunting/farming, Request for Proposal (RFPs) and other competitive procurement processes
  • Drive capture management strategy and process and qualified pipeline in excess of $250M
  • Manage delivery and consulting teams to instill predictable and repeatable frameworks that consistently meets schedules and delivery commitments while meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Drive high performance standards across the operation, developing and hiring great talent, identifying, and implementing programs for filling any gaps that may exist, developing a strong team, and consistent execution to plan that drives growth. Proven success in hiring and developing high performing teams
  • Working knowledge of the overall commercial landscape/platforms, target customers and programs, organizational structure, operating environment, major IT applications, and acquisition processes is required. Deep background in leveraging commercial industry knowledge, contacts and key business indicators to develop and implement strategies that ensure growth. Demonstrated understanding of a customer’s priorities, and strategic direction is essential. Create and maintain relationships at C-level with customers and within the commercial ecosystem
  • Provide overall leadership and foster a culture that operates ethically with honesty, integrity, and respect. Conduct employee/team development and mentoring to ensure the staff has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully performs its mission. Implement succession planning to provide for long term leadership and competency in all key areas


Required Experience and Skills:

  • Clearance Required: None (ability to pass background checks as required)
  • Strong background in solutions selling, account planning, and consulting services
  • Growth minded and with ability to mentor other employees
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in IT Services Firms and consulting, with at least ten (10) years of management experience at a Global or National level within the commercial environment
  • Bachelors in technical or business-related field and Advanced degree is desirable
  • Solid financial operations P&L background, to include budgeting, forecasting, reporting and modeling of a $100M line of business or comparable organization size
  • Visible and engaging leader and change agent. Brings passion to the role and energy to the group with a strong bias for action and decisiveness
