Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20 years of professional experience or 18 years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise products.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience in creating, executing and delivering against a complex product roadmap and driving business impact.
  • Experience in building and evolving distributed cross-functional teams with a commitment to diversity and inclusion, building an inclusive and representative organization.
  • Ability to be an innovative thinker, value collaboration and be comfortable solving ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to bring disparate perspectives and personalities together to build and develop highly successful technical teams.

Google is seeking a Vice President and General Manager for Google’s Customer Engagement (CE) team. In this role, you will lead a critical product portfolio that builds commercial quality sales and support systems empowering Google to intelligently engage with billions of customers and users at scale. The CE team is a multidisciplinary, global organization that sits within Google Ads while also supporting the majority of Google’s ecosystem by building an impactful suite of products, in-house and from the ground up. These custom-built and uniquely Google Sales, Support, Developer products power Google’s ecosystem. They’re deeply integrated across Google’s entire product line and leverage Google’s scale and machine learning advances to deliver impact beyond traditional CRM. In this role, you will lead the evolution of this key set of enterprise products. You will bring an excellent product vision, a high bar for quality and success working across functions and product areas successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product vision, strategy and execution for Customer Engagement product portfolio; design and lead a multi­-year product roadmap, balancing short­ and long­-term goals and investments.
  • Manage, lead and inspire a cross-functional global organization of engineers and product managers, working in close partnership with UX leaders. Teams are currently based around the globe.
  • Drive product experience direction throughout the product ecosystem and organizational partnerships to ensure a deep user focus and attention to quality.
  • Serve as a key strategic thought partner for the Ads organization and to internal customers. Represent the team and advocate for the products CE is building and democratizing to the rest of Google.
  • Cultivate a collaborative work environment, partnering with leaders and teams across Google on a range of challenges to ship innovative products.
