Vice President, Agency Development

We’re looking for a seasoned sales leader who will manage part of our portfolio of agency holding companies. The ideal candidate will combine proven experience managing and growing high-value partnerships with a deep understanding of the direct and programmatic advertising ecosystem, in order to drive optimum value for our HoldCo partners. You will educate and support the sales team by helping them uncover advertising budgets, navigate programmatic sales, and close new business. You will also be responsible for striking agency and HoldCo level endeavors and deals that the sales team will utilize and sell through to their client partners. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Drive global commercial strategy for a selection of the six major holding companies including contracts, joint business plans and overall revenue growth 
  • Strike deals with agencies and holdcos that position Dotdash Meredith as a leader in the space and emphasize premium partnership. 
  • Evangelize Dotdash Meredith properties and products to agency Sr. Leadership 
  • Partner with sales and partnerships team to identify opportunities and leverage relationships to grow revenue 
  • Collect customer and overall market feedback to guide Dotdash Meredith’s strategy. Translate this feedback into product updates and requirements and drive execution of new features with customers 
  • Understand and monitor key performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth or improvement 
  • Conduct regular business reviews with agency partners, employing a consultative, long term approach that builds productive relationships with stakeholders of all levels within the agency 
  • Analyze data and provide data-driven insights to improve our advertising programs 


Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of work experience within online media buying/selling industry, with at least 2 years focused on agency holding companies 
  • Knowledge of programmatic advertising space, header bidding, publisher products, SSPs, and DSPs, especially industry trends and challenges 
  • Deep understanding of how media (display and video) is bought, sold, and delivered across desktop, mobile and CTV 
  • Ability to work independently to initiate and manage large strategic relationship and assess partnership viability and growth opportunities 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across a broad range of technical and non-technical people 
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, being comfortable with pulling reports, diving deep into the data and analyzing trends 
  • Team player with strong persuasion skills and proven ability to influence senior leadership 
  • Customer-driven product thinking and ability to identify and prioritize requests 
  • Proactive attitude with excellent project, organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking skills
