Vendor Operations Analyst

Research and analyze vendor performance metrics and identify root cause of recurring compliance issues. Review shortage deductions and make final recommendations for repayment and business decisions. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis

  • Research shortage claims and compliance issues; present findings to team leadership and explain underlying issues; make recommendations on repayment opportunities with supporting analysis to AP.
  • Review compliance chargebacks and validate.
  • Execute additional projects and duties as assigned.


Vendor Support

  • Host vendor calls to review shortage and compliance research results; prepare supporting documentation and commentary for vendor presentations and review with Vendor Operations leaders; explain root causes and make recommendations to vendors to improve performance.


Cross-Functional Support

  • Manage buyer expedite and exemption requests.
  • Support Vendor Relations with research and vendor outreach.
  • Liaise with merchants, PO Tracking, Accounts Payable, Inbound Logistics, Inventory Control and other internal teams on shipping and compliance issues.


Reporting

  • Track and report on open vendor incidents and publish internal report daily; publish weekly recap for senior leadership.
  • Ad hoc reporting for vendor presentations.


Training

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for all Vendor Operations work processes.
  • Prepare presentation materials on new initiatives and updated work processes; present training sessions to the team.


Education: College degree preferred. 

Experience: 2-5 years of supply chain or logistics work preferred. 


Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to assess large data sets and provide analytical assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivation
