Training Specialist

Remote (Wilton, CT)

The Training Specialist will focus on training initiatives for our wholesaler and retailer personnel. The position will provide training support to Breitling accounts which will be focus on product/brand knowledge and Breitling sales techniques, to support the expansion of the network and achievement of sales targets as well as elevate the customer experience. Above all, the Training Specialist will motivate, teach and inspire Breitling Sales professionals and the sales team.


Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities :

  • Executes the Breitling strategic training plan for accounts within specified territory to drive overall service and productivity
  • Establish effective partnerships and communication to ensure training programs and processes are delivered
  • Implement and deliver proprietary and client-specific training programs including, but not limited to, new product launches, product knowledge, sales techniques and training modules for existing programs
  • Focus on delivering high impact training that maximizes learner participation, comprehension and application of material
  • Spend time in stores
  • Utilize all available resources to identify and define present/future training needs including, but not limited to, Mystery Shops, business trends, feedback, Breitling Representatives, Breitling Boutique Managers, BUSA President, Training Manager, etc.
  • Collect data and feedback on impact of programs and communicate recommendations on appropriate instructional methods, performance objectives and known delivery constraints to Training Manager
  • Organize, collect and report training data: attendance, tracking results, social reporting, processing and tracking of all training related expenses
  • Develops, implement and monitor follow-up programs to measure training effectiveness on departmental KPI’s
  • Support, maintain and ensure adherence to departmental standards and training team values
  • Coordinate and order all necessary supplies related to training within the guideline
  • Participate in special projects as needed


Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel 4 days a week – 3 weeks in a month to different parts of the US
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of retail, luxury watch industry preferred
  • Has experience in hosting and planning an off-site group event/training
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Strong coaching, motivational and influencing abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality. Able to effectively operate in a culturally diverse environment and across a variety of positions with astuteness and sensitivity
  • Self-directed in planning own work. Must be comfortable working through ambiguity and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Able to work under stringent deadlines. Ability to work autonomously and with flexibility
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate business acumen in understanding the product and retail business
  • Bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in education or Human resources preferred
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and methods for training preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Microsoft computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email skills
