TikTok Specialist

TikTok is one of Linktree's fastest growth channels and also one of the most unique, so much so that we are looking for a dedicated TikTok creator to craft content that cuts through the noise and is the face of Linktree on TikTok.

We aren't looking to create content for the sake of creating content. The platform will be used to educate our customers on how to use Linktree, tell them about new feature releases, engage with them through funny and original content & partner with other brands, social causes and influencers.

This role will initially be remote with our head office in Melbourne and employees based around Australia and the world. An LA office should be coming later in 2021, once Covid allows it.

In this role you will:

  • Establish a tone of voice, style and aesthetic for Linktree on TikTok
  • Ideate, create and publish frequent content on the Linktree TikTok page to entertain and educate our users
  • Drive traffic to our other social platforms and website to drive user growth
  • Stay up to date with key features, trends, influencers and what Linktree users on TikTok are talking about.
  • Work with the Social Media & Community Manager to ensure that key company milestones and updates are filtering through TikTok
  • Build relationships with TikTok HQ & key influencers on TikTok
  • Think creatively and turn ideas into action
  • Work with our marketing team to ideate paid content for TikTok
  • Be the voice of our TikTok community into the rest of the business
  • Share insights from TikTok into the wider marketing strategy

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally, experience in creating original and engaging content for TikTok and for brands or with a large personal following
  • Creativity: we are looking for more than rehashing a trending dance routine, you will need to show variety and adaptability due to the diversity of our customer base
  • Someone with a strong network and understanding of the TikTok community
  • Good technical production skills in video and sound editing and design so you can execute solo but also work with our internal designers and marketing agency
  • Proven ability to be an early adopter or creator to new trends on the platform and within the micro-communities

We hire with a people-first approach, so more importantly as a human, you will be collaborative, curious, enjoy solving complex problems and have empathy for the growing pains of a rapidly scaling startup.

Linktree's company culture and values are based around collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and flexibility. Those are all nice words but to give you some more specific examples:

  • We are a family-friendly and flexible work environment with our team with a number of our team working hours around school and home commitments.
  • We have several diversity and inclusion initiatives underway, including a D&I council, training for all staff on neurodiversity and the incorporation of a transgender inclusion policy.
  • Our team is diverse across age, gender, and race and we are very proud of that.
  • Due to COVID we are all remote but even when COVID is behind us, we will be a mixed remote and in-office company. With our team already spread across 8 locations and 3 countries, we will always be some form of remote.
  • We prioritise our team's mental health, with all employees have free access to Smiling Mind & Uprise, including 1:1 coaching sessions from qualified psychologists or counsellors.

The Linktree story:

We have grown quickly in 2020 and with more growth planned due to the continued expansion of our customer base around the world.

The Linktree journey begins in 2016 when co-founders Alex, Anthony and Nick were running a digital agency and using Instagram to make announcements about the artists they managed. Created as a side hustle to solve a simple problem, Linktree has well outgrown its roots, with over 12 million users worldwide, 30,000 + new signups every day, and over 120 million unique views per month. Paired with rapid growth, Linktree has recently garnered much attention in the tech world, earning 4th place on Fast Company's "10 most innovative social media companies of 2020".

In March 2021, Linktree raised $45 million in Series B Funding led by Index Ventures and Coatue on top of our Series A with Insight Partners and AirTree. The funding will be used to expand headcount globally, develop product features and go towards making Linktree the best possible place to work for our staff.

The Linktree audience is broad, spanning publications, artists, celebrities, fashion and beauty influencers, YouTube stars, sports teams and household brands, right the way through to individuals with a side hustle and micro-influencers. Linktree subscribers include Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Pharrell, Jamie Oliver, HBO, Red Bull, Adult Swim, Patreon, Cara Delevingne, Comedy Central, Gordon Ramsay, Billabong…and many more!
