Territory Sales Manager

Remote (Ontario, Canada)

The Territory Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales manager and work collectively with VP of Sales to build out a comprehensive strategy to drive retail sales within Whitby/Oshawa/Peterborough. As a representative of the BZAM Management Inc. brand, The Territory Sales Manager will build brand awareness, customer relationships, loyalty and sales revenue. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, identifying sales opportunities regionally and cultivating meaningful and exceptional customer relationships within a highly regulated market. 

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  •  Directly support and collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales, and other teammates to define, implement and manage BZAM’s overall sales strategy, working closely with the marketing and sales team to define sales objectives;  
  • Collaborate with the operations and marketing department to develop and enhance our brand execution in store, identifying new opportunities to create and increase brand awareness and brand exposure at the retail level; 
  • Implement and execute on company marketing initiatives to drive awareness, sell through of products and to develop a loyal customer base; 
  • Cultivate and maintain key relationships with customers, vendors and stakeholders; deliver a consistent exceptional customer experience in all interactions and transactions; 
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager and the Vice President of Sales to implement key account planning initiatives to improve client results, market opportunity and market share; 
  • Identify distribution opportunities by building and strengthening partnerships that maximize sales volume through distribution, visibility and service; 
  • Generate sponsorship opportunities within compliance, as well as new sales leads; 
  • Effectively create, implement and manage a budget to increase sales volume and manage necessary sales expenses within the budget allocated; 
  • Maintain and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics/targets for the territory; 
  • Develop a sales route plan and map for the territory to maximize efficiency within their assigned sales territory; 
  • Utilize strategic key account planning principals to establish goals and projections in order to fulfill and exceed sales objectives; and 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


WHAT YOU BRING: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent;  
  • Cannell Certified; 
  • Exceptional organization, time-management, and prioritization skills; 
  • The ability to cultivate relationships with accounts/customers and the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences across all channels; 
  • The motivation to thrive while working independently and remotely; 
  • Previous success in growing brand awareness and brand recognition within a given region, while using innovative strategies;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;  
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid Provincial Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract; and 
  • The ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

You are RESULTS DRIVEN and SELF-MOTIVATED, with a strong sense of urgency, strong tactical planning skills, service delivery focus and ability to deliver exceptional results while working in an independent and remote environment.  

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience working as a sales representative, account manager or territory manager; 
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales metrics and KPI’s while working remotely and independently; 
  • 3-5 years’ experience within a highly regulated industry;  
  • Solid experience in CRM solutions and Excel; 
  • Experience in developing and creating effective sales route-maps/plans; and  
  • Experience working within a start-up environment is preferred.
