Technology and Solutions Marketing Lead

Micron’s Global Communications and Marketing team (GCM) is looking for a Technology and Solutions Marketing Lead to help plan and implement Business and Technology Marketing initiatives to raise the visibility and market awareness of Micron’s technology innovations and the technologists driving this innovation.


This key role will report to the Director of Technology Marketing and will partner closely with Micron marketing and product organizations to identify and cultivate the solutions and technology use cases that provide compelling “proof points” to showcase Micron innovation.  This role will include a strong solutions focus—not just product speeds and feeds.  You will be expected to work with technical and marketing partners at Micron as well as with critical 3rd party hardware, software, integrators and services providers with a goal of creating and capturing the value propositions of impactful business solutions.  You will also be able to work with the Micron innovators and technologists developing the “next big things” and counselling them to the opportunities and activities that help build their industry visibility and “personal brands” and thus augmenting Micron’s perception as a technology leader.


Responsibilities and Skills Include: 

  • Partner with GCM and business unit stakeholders to establish and lead an efficient and effective technology leadership advocacy program in support of the Micron technology portfolio and team.
  • Coordinate with Micron BU marketing leaders and technologists develop and promote compelling business solutions and the Micron technologists
  • Identify and implement best practices and streamlining of message development and delivery, assuring alignment between high level corporate or business unit narratives and critical product or technology topics
  • Be the one voice owner for communication program milestones, objectives and timelines. 
  • Identify and engage ecosystem partners to collaborate on value-added solutions development that create preference for Micron products
  • Short term programs with established, available products
  • Also includes longer term, pre-released and roadmap products and technologies
  • Work with GCM and BU management to define a solutions development and review process
  • Identify and help secure resources needed (internal/external) for execution of solution development
  • Integrate solutions development initiative activities with relevant BU and corporate marketing ecosystem and solutions marketing opportunities (e.g. integrated editorial, sales training, etc)
  • Build ecosystem focused messages and supporting content and drive delivery through partner program channels
  • Develop coordinated ecosystem marketing plans for identified solutions
  • Drive program operation excellence at all times

  • Experience conceptualizing and cultivating projects or programs, identifying compelling means to translate technology capabilities into customer business value

  • Broad marketing acumen and skillsets
  • Detailed-oriented with strong affinity for technology and innovation
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Demonstrated cross-functional communication, diplomacy, collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Agility and speed in decision making with ambiguous or evolving data, comfortable and efficient in taking an iterative approach
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion
  • Efficient in working with Office 365 and Collaboration tools (inc Microsoft Teams)

 

Education/Experience: 

  • 7+ years of partner marketing/ecosystem solution marketing experience 
  • ·5+ years of marketing and strategy experience
  • Project and program development and management
  • Degree/Major: Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication and/or related field 
  • Solutions engineering experience useful
  • Experience in a large, fast growing, fast paced company and/or in the high-tech sector (hardware or software)
