Tax Manager

Remote (United States)

As the Tax Manager, US you will work closely with finance leaders and report to the Tax Director, North America. You will play a key role in leading and implementing projects to create cost controls and ensure the Company’s compliance with relevant tax legislation requirements. The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and forward-thinking.


This position is based in the US (Remote).


What you’ll be doing:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual domestic and worldwide consolidated income tax provisions including supporting workpapers
  • Prepare income tax journal entries and account reconciliations and roll forwards
  • Manage of global tax compliance calendar
  • Coordinate and review North American income tax and indirect tax returns prepared by tax staff or external service providers
  • Coordinate gathering of information necessary for the income tax provision and income tax compliance
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities in connection to notices and examinations
  • Assist in SOX testing of tax department controls with respect to income tax accounts
  • Assist in researching opportunities, risks, and other ad hoc projects
  • Monitor legislative updates and technical guidance
  • Support the global tax function as needed


You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is preferred)
  • CPA license required
  • 5+ years of experience in ASC 740 reporting and corporate income tax compliance with one of the “Big Four” firms and in-house publicly traded company tax department preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a team and/or project
  • Experience within a multi-state/multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Comprehensive technical skills in US GAAP and Federal and State income tax concepts
  • Knowledge of US and international indirect tax preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to utilize tax knowledge and previous experience to meet objectives and shifting priorities while working in a dynamic and rapidly changing organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer and tax research skills
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter and diligent problem solver
