This is an exciting opportunity for Talent Management Managers #IN866 in Columbus, Indiana.


Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Partner with business and functional leaders to integrate talent management processes and initiatives with business objectives and strategic planning activities.
  • Manage talent management processes and activities such as leadership development; talent planning acquisition, development and assessment; performance management; competency and skill management; and employee engagement on-boarding and retention.
  • Lead the implementation of change management plans for new or changing initiatives ensuring processes, tools and key information are available to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement human resources metrics and data analytics to analyze the impact of talent management initiatives, process and tools on the organization, and lead specific initiatives to identify and improve performance excellence.
  • Lead or participate in cross-organizational or global projects to design, improve, and implement effective talent management processes.
  • Manage the operating plan for specific talent initiatives.
  • Asses organizational performance strengths and gaps by conducting comprehensive assessment, interpreting data and engaging leaders to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Recommend interventions aligned with Cummins HR approach to influence course corrections and evaluate the results as part of Organizational Development and Effectiveness Consultation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders in applying business and Human Resources functional knowledge to interpret the business environment, and identify and prioritize current and future problems requiring solutions.
  • Manage the execution of Human Resources business processes, seeking efficiency, accuracy, positive business performance outcomes and operational agility.
  • Integrate activities across processes as needed, assure compliance with Human Resources process and legal requirements, and effectively balance process requirements and business leader needs.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of Data Analytics and business and functional frameworks to interpret relevant talent management information.
  • Leverage analytical problem-solving tools to draw conclusions and communicate meaningful patterns that drive business insights, and assess quality of data.
  • Apply Change Management processes and tool sets to engage individuals and organizational through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with corporate talent management leadership in the design of global business processes and tools.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:

  • Position requires a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations, or related field and 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, Talent Management Specialist, or related position.
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations, or related field and 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, Talent Management Specialist, or related position.
