Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Philadelphia, PA

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing recruitment and new hire onboarding efforts across the entire company's cannabis operations including dispensary and grow/processor locations in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, Ohio, corporate, and future locations.  We are building a strong ethical and team-oriented culture at Ethos Cannabis and are looking for this position to help lead and implement this vision in our fast-paced, growth environment.

We are seeking a passionate, driven, detailed oriented, customer service focused and collaborative Talent Acquisition Coordinator to enable the success of the Ethos Cannabis recruitment initiatives. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated experience in sourcing and recruiting top talent, and onboarding and orientation administration. In addition, the candidate should have a passion for a diverse culture in the workplace and will partner with other team members of our People & Culture Team and other employees and leaders in the organization to provide best in class internal customer service. Previous cannabis experience is a plus but not required; however, all candidates should have some familiarity and comfort with cannabis.


  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition Team on current practices and future process improvements to our talent acquisition function
  • Interview candidates for various positions within the organization, taking notes and communicating to hiring managers.
  • Assist in managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to best serve each operating function, ensuring effectiveness; continually assess the tracking system implementation and adjust based on business needs; troubleshoot as needed
  • Build and maintain the internal employee candidate process, providing employee action letters to selection employees for role changes, transfers, promotions, and other administrative items as needed
  • Maintain the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recruitment and provide ongoing communication and training to management as needed
  • Walk candidates through the recruitment lifecycle and remain consistent in the approach; recommend and drive process improvements that impact candidate identification and engagement
  • Proactively network, source and establish relationships with diverse candidates for current and future needs; participate in activities such as job fairs and other outreach opportunities in our operating states while presenting Ethos Cannabis in a professional manor at all times
  • Assist in creating new job descriptions and maintain all job descriptions for current and future roles in the organization
  • Maintain employee files as it pertains to the recruitment and onboarding process; conduct periodic file audits to remain compliant and consistent
  • Enter incoming team members into our HRIS/payroll system in a timely fashion
  • Partner with others in the organization to complete thorough background screenings based on the requirements of each role; keep records up to date; implement an effective system for tracking background checks (criminal, education, professional references, etc)
  • Maintain a growth mindset and keep current on all talent acquisition trends and laws
  •  Perform other duties and responsibilities related to our People & Culture function as needed



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field 

Work Experience:

  • 2+ years of talent acquisition experience
  • Experience with high volume positions a plus
  • Proven ability to screen resumes to identify prospective candidates
  • Research/sourcing skills with ability to search for hard-to-fill requisitions
  • Candidate engagement approach with ability to activate passive candidates through proactive outreach
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with leaders and hiring managers
  • Experience using talent and market insights and data to influence audiences
  • Outstanding teamwork and multitasking skills

Other Requirements:

  • Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching is possible
  • Must pass stringent background test requirements of operating State
  • Occasional travel to various retail and grow/processor sites on an as needed basis


  • Approximately $50,000 to $55,000annual salary with additional incentive compensation
  • This position is classified as Exempt and is not eligible for overtime pay.
