System Administrator

We are searching for a new System Administrator who will work directly with our team members, outside development partners, data partners, and clients to administrate, install, deploy, configure, operate, and maintain system hardware and software related to internal or client environments, and SaaS products utilized across Bounteous to ensure the stability and integrity of information in compliance with organization policies and standards. The right candidate will be strong technically and a willingness to grow their technical skillset, be communicative, articulative, engaged with the ability to plan and to execute a plan.


Qualified candidates will have experience in a System Administrator role that managed both on-premise systems as well as working knowledge in SaaS solutions. They will be expected to learn how to tune servers, handle attacks, and diagnose and resolve application problems. They will assist help desk with SaaS or internal applications to keep Bounteous' teams operating as efficiently as possible.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Administrate and support hosted environments; resolve software and hardware-related issues
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Build and maintain secure server environments, monitor for security events and alerts, including: the build and documentation of hardened servers, and testing
  • Deploy appropriate security patches/fixes, and review security logs as well as notifications
  • Execute, test, and rollout solutions built by senior level team members
  • Support and maintain end-user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance
  • Coordinate with management for computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, and programs
  • Plan and perform appropriate processes, documentation, inventory assessment, provide evidence and other procedures as needed
  • Perform and coordinate effective installation and performance of operating, system hardware and software on servers, including software releases, system upgrades, and patches
  • Maintain, monitor, and analyze system components to make recommendations regarding computer system security, networks, computers, and disk utilization
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers while keeping abreast of changing industry trends
  • Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials
  • Conduct software and hardware evaluations and provide technical analysis
  • Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administration functions as needed
  • Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications as necessary
  • Assist in assessments of the hosted environments on behalf of the clients, providing evidence of documented processes
  • Provide support to Team members who escalate issues up to the administration group in a Tier II helpdesk capacity


Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • 7+ years of hands-on Office 365 in helpdesk capacity
  • 7+ years of hands-on Windows Server and Active Directory in a helpdesk capacity
  • Scripting languages PowerShell and windows command line
  • Experience supporting Cloud Environments: Rackspace, AWS and Azure
  • Lead server and application deployments, security, and business continuity
  • Support remote users via VPN technologies
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel nationally if required and to/from Offices as required


Helpful Knowledge

  • Experience managing and maintaining infrastructure devices, including switches, routers and firewalls
  • Current knowledge of the following SaaS Products from a Senior User Administration capacity:
  • Gsuite
  • Salesforce
  • BetterCloud
  • Zoom
  • Dropbox
  • Slack
  • LastPass
  • Apple Mac support experience
  • Apple Laptop deployments utilizing Jamf
  • Experience deploying Windows systems using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Intune
