Sustainability Project Coordinator

San Francisco, CA

Cisco Meraki is searching for a Sustainability Project Associate to join our Hardware Engineering Operations team in San Francisco. This person will enjoy handling a wide range of projects and will be looking to learn every day. 


As we grow, it is critical to have consistent communication between all corners of the Organization. In order to be successful, the candidate will need to expertly and proactively collaborate with different colleagues regarding data collection and metrics that will track our compliance and progression towards our established corporate sustainability report and overall environmental impact.


What You’ll Own 

The Sustainability Associate will be the point of contact for inquiries and interaction from teams throughout the organization and globe. You will be encouraged to be able to load and parse data in a spreadsheet program and be able to analyze progress and results. You will work closely with the Product Experience team as well as the Circular Design Group to keep on top of new procedures, standards, and expectations for all things related to environmental progress.


A base level of sustainability practices, terms, and the understanding of data related to Sustainability is encouraged.


This position requires heavy interaction with many different teams, product manufacturers, and overseas vendors, so clear communication and organization skills are a must.


Experience/Skills

  • Proven track record in data management or analysis
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Sustainability position or department.
  • Outstanding level writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google applications (Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
