Responsibilities

The Sustainability Manager is responsible for setting the company’s Environmental strategy, roadmaps, goals, and lead projects that drive the implementation, communications, and integration of sustainable practices across the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collaboration across functions in implementation of environmental sustainability projects and process improvements to drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing facilities sustainability performance.
  • Lead the identification, planning and execution of new or enhanced methods and processes that help the company meet its sustainability goals, specific focus on water, energy, and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Responsibility to develop sustainability strategy and lead implementation to achieving goals, continually assess and report metrics to communicate those throughout the company.
  • Develop and lead sustainability training in collaboration with MTC's Learning Team for all departments.
  • Perform research, analysis, provide recommendations and build the business case for strategic investments to advance company commitment to carbon neutrality, zero waste, and water conservation.
  • Lead data management to track company progress against sustainability targets, communicate progress company-wide.
  • Support the Communications and Corporate Responsibility teams in their role of advocating for the company's position; Produce and/or review company's public comments on environmental sustainability policy and programs.
  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.

 

Supervisory: This position has supervisory responsibilities. 


Qualifications

  • All applicants must have either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferably in a related field; and three years related experience in direct experience in implementing sustainability frameworks and initiatives; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years management experience required.
  • Applicants must have strong understanding of advanced concepts of conservation, waste reduction, and alternative energy.
  • Basic understanding of industry environmental standards and regulatory landscape; Data Management experience.
