Sustainability Coordinator

Montréal, QC

Reporting to Kruger Inc.’s Corporate Environment Director, the Sustainability Coordinator provides support to the Company’s sustainability program.


The incumbent is responsible for Kruger’s sustainability data collection, management, and reporting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review reporting requirements according to different sustainability standards related to the pulp and paper industry.
  • Develop a data management process (collection, validation, standardisation, quality control).
  • Compile data and publish annually on sustainability platforms (EcoVadis, CDP, EPAT, 
  • Book Chain Project).
  • Answer customer requests and fill out questionnaires.
  • Manage corporate sustainability certifications.
  • Develop action plans to improve sustainability scores.
  • Support internal and external communications about sustainability.
  • Participate in developing sustainability related policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the production of the corporate sustainability report.

 

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL EDUCATION

  • University education focused on environmental studies and sustainability, business administration, or related field.


EXPERIENCE

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability reporting and disclosure.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability standards, protocols and certifications related to the pulp and paper industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with the EcoVadis certification process.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, environment, and health & safety KPIs and reporting tools (Nasdaq Metrio, Intelex, CONFORMiT)
  • Demonstrated ability in project management is an asset.
  • Experience in greenhouse gas and carbon credit accounting considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to work on multiple projects simultaneously while keeping a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with multiple levels within the organization, both as a leader and individual contributor.


LANGUAGES

  • Bilingual, spoken and written (English and French)


Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
