Sustainability and Renewables Solutions, Senior Advisor

Houston, TX

As a key contributor to the Energy+ Acceleration team, the Senior Advisor of Sustainability Solutions will identify and qualify opportunities, propose solutions, and support renewable sales. Acting as an accelerator, this position will navigate the internal ENGIE teams to leverage ENGIE’s full capabilities. In doing so, the Senior Advisor of Sustainability Solutions will assist sales in responding to RFPs, and developing proposals, and will be responsible for creating and managing our renewable pipeline.

 

This role will report to the Director of Sustainability Solutions and ENERGY+ and is in Houston, TX.


What you’ll do:

  • Qualify and accelerate Renewable opportunities
  • Serve as an internal consultant and facilitator
  • Organize pricing and proposals
  • Organize training and webinars for internal and external audiences 
  • Connect dots internally (identify deals outside of Retail’s scope and send to the appropriate ENGIE team)
  • Point person between Business Development and Pricing Desk
  • Conduct Renewables Steerco and Manage Pipeline
  • Collaborate on product development
  • Carries out other duties as assigned


What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent required
  • MBA or Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 5-10 of experience in the competitive retail electric business
  • Experience in Electricity Sales, Renewables, pricing, power scheduling, power trading & marketing, portfolio management, generation/asset optimization, and/or product structuring
  • ERCOT/PJM market experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of wholesale renewable power structures
  • Problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and ability to convey complex items in simple terms to a broader audience
  • Understanding of energy market fundamentals, including customer usage properties and pricing methodologies
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to think logically and with clear reasoning
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage stressful situations

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on limited occasions

  • Ability to use a personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Could involve some lifting / up to 35 lbs
