Sustainability Analyst

Meta is hiring a Sustainability Analyst to support the development and execution of sustainability communications in support of Meta’s positioning goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media, executive communication, award submissions and building communication toolkits.

Meta’s Sustainability team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company, and with our partners. This role focuses on planning, drafting and executing sustainability communications in support of Meta’s positioning goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in social media, executive communication, award submissions and building communication toolkits.


Sustainability Analyst, Positioning Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Manager, develop Sustainability Communications calendar and all associated collateral for internal and external moments and events.
  • Work cross-functionally to maximize and optimize owned channel amplification of sustainability stories and narrative.
  • Build and execute social media content calendar for internal and external channels for Meta leaders and department.
  • Partner with sustainability team members and ESG cross-functional team on messaging and narrative development.
  • Edit internal and external articles, messaging and other communication collateral.
  • Build communication foundation materials for all projects including decks, briefing documents, talking points and toolkits.
  • Manage website update cadence and build content, stories and assets.
  • Support Meta’s presence at key events, roundtables and dialogues externally, working with internal cross functional colleagues.
  • Draft sustainability reactive and proactive communications.
  • Support updating Sustainability narrative.
  • Contribute to annual Sustainability Report, ESG resources and other key communication products.
  • Provide general department support related to communications, research and project management including PowerPoint slides, emails, newsletters, agendas, talking points, etc.
  • Develop sustainability and ESG Award, Recognition and Survey timeline, manage process (identify new opportunities).


Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in communication, sustainability, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate sustainability communication or related field (in house or agency).
  • Communication skills, editorial skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and proven experience to successfully work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven experience developing and directing key messages to different audiences.
  • Experience creating on-brand, understandable, persuasive, and succinct presentations.
  • Proven experience activating people through various communication platforms and channels.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, experience, and willingness to learn and work on new projects.
  • Interested in making meaningful impact through both internal and external communications.
  • Interested in communicating purpose.
  • Organized and motivated, attention to detail and experience to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Time management and organization skills.
