Supervisor, SEO

The SEO Supervisor is part of the centralized digital marketing team that sits on the shared service or Center of Expertise (COE) Team and works across all Foot Locker Inc. brands. The COE is the company’s hub of innovation and works across the organization to drive digital capability. As the SEO Supervisor, you will help execute the global strategy for organic search for multiple digital properties and banners across North America, Europe & Asia Pacific. Your strategy will encompass all aspects of SEO including technical, content, local and evaluating new growth opportunities; as well as internal reporting and communication plans so all stakeholders are aware of key initiatives and KPIs. You will work across several departments including Product Management, Engineering, Content + Creative, Site Merchandising, Data Team and the Brand Teams and manage 1-2 talented SEO Analysts.

The SEO Supervisor has the opportunity to work remote / in a virtual environment. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Director, Global SEO to communicate the company’s SEO strategy, roadmaps and KPIs to internal stakeholders
  • Executes SEO strategy, directly and through delegation to SEO Analysts, and SEO vendors
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing them with regular reporting, insights, and SEO support to meet brand goals and objectives
  • Works with Director, Global SEO to create and maintain SEO team operational processes
  • Defines and communicates business and technical SEO requirements to Product and Engineering Teams
  • Manages projects and facilitates flow of information between SEO team and internal and external partners
  • Manages and mentors a team of SEO Analysts, ensuring high quality of work and timely delivery of tasks and deliverables
  • Actively works with SEO Analysts to develop SEO skills as well as other hard and soft skills
  • Keeps abreast of innovation in search, digital and retail trends

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 3yrs. experience working in SEO
  • Experience across multiple areas of SEO including content and on page optimization, technical SEO, local SEO, and website analytics
  • Capable of communicating SEO initiatives and how they translate to business goals or objectives to a variety of non-SEO audiences
  • Capable of crafting clear, concise SEO reporting from various SEO tools and Analytics platforms
  • Comfortable speaking to SEO performance with a variety of stakeholders ranging from junior-level employees to senior-level leadership
  • Capable of building relationships and liaising with a variety of stakeholders ranging from junior-level employees to senior-level leadership to achieve SEO objectives
  • Comfortable scaling SEO solutions across hundreds or thousands of website pages
  • Strong critical thinking and analytics skills with experience using industry-leading enterprise SEO tools such as Google Search Console, semrush, Screaming Frog, ahrefs, Adobe Analytics, and more
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and responsiveness
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website development is required
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports required
  • Prior digital agency experience preferred; prior experience practicing SEO in an enterprise setting highly preferred
  • Experience managing local SEO, directly or through a vendor, for businesses with thousands of brick-and-mortar storefronts preferred
  • Experience working in Google Data Studio strongly preferred
  • Experience practicing SEO for single-page applications (SPAs) preferred
  • Python programming experience strongly preferred
