Supervisor, Data Analytics

As a Supervisor, Data Analytics on the Corporate Audit Data Analytics team, you will play an integral role in assisting Abbott’s global audit teams by designing and developing analytical tests and automated procedures that assist in the identification of financial, compliance and technology risk.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as the data analytics point person where you be involved in risk assessment, audit planning, deficiency impact reviews, control testing
  • Work cross functionally with the business to analyze business process controls and provide opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies
  • Identify ways to use data analytics to improve risk assessments, audits and overall remediation
  • Spearhead the use of new data analytics tools and research and implement best practices related to data analytics
  • Design and develop data models to support data visualizations
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards for data exploration and audit sample selection
  • Lead design thinking sessions to generate a pipeline of departmental improvement opportunities
  • Network with divisional, regional and corporate organizations to identify new data sources, emerging risk areas and opportunities for future ‘data partners’
  • Administer analytics tool platform
  • Supervise and train new data analysts on audit analytics tools, data modeling and visualization techniques and best practices


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • CIA, CPA, CISA, or CISSP certification
  • Experience 3-5 years prior experience working in an analytics capacity or in risk advisory field
  • ERP Literacy, experience working with data from various ERP systems.
  • SAP experience required (BPCS, JDE experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Project management experience and ability to interact with managers at various levels from various business functions
  • Data Artist, expertise and/or demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred, PowerBI, Qlik)
  • Analytical experience using advance analytics tools (R, Python, etc.) to solve complex business problems
  • Experience writing and interpreting SQL queries and statements to explore source data and data issues
  • Experience developing scripts for process automation (Automation Anywhere preferred, MS PowerAutomate)
  • Can independently manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communicator, having the ability to communicate complex information to a broad audience with professional oral and written communication skills
  • This position may require a small amount of travel, 5-20%
