Student Internship – Sustainability

This role is an incredible opportunity to support our firm’s commitment to delivering sustainable design solutions. The ideal candidate will have an interest in learning how to lead and manage the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) process by partnering closely with our design teams and clients.

This is a 12-16 hour per week, paid opportunity.  The program will begin in summer 2022 , and run through June, 2025.  

What You Will Do

  • Document and submit LEED credits for review by third party reviewers (utilizing MS Word and Excel
  • Location & Transportation Research for project sites
  • Site Assessment & Analysis (climate, existing conditions, soils, etc.)
  • Water Use Reduction calculations
  • Daylight/Views Calculations
  • Review and research material selections for design teams that meet sustainable criteria
  • Research our clients’ sustainability goals and values for use in client-facing conversations
  • Assist with preparing client sustainability workshops and presentations

  • Coachable: You have a learning mindset and know that there is always room for improvement. You welcome feedback from your peers.
  • Self-Starter: You enjoy learning on your own; you've frequently found tutorials or videos to help yourself learn how to do something.
  • Good with Numbers: You are getting A's on your math tests in score and working with numbers give you energy.
