Strategic Finance Manager

Remote (United States)

As a key member of the Go-to-Market (GTM) Finance team, you will support several key business units including sales enablement, sales, marketing, and ops to drive GTM strategy, productivity and effectiveness. You will own major aspects of GTM planning & analysis. You will partner with a wide variety of key stakeholders to implement GTM plans and activities that support our performance targets. Your work will directly impact the performance and planning of the GTM team, and will therefore be critical to our ambitious growth goals. Your core responsibilities will include financial analysis and modeling, preparation of key forecasts and KPIs, presentation of performance insights and actionable recommendations, and serving as a collaborator and trusted partner to the GTM org. This role will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance, and directly support the VP of Sales and Chief Marketing Officer. All positions at Postscript are fully remote.


Primary duties

  • Act as business partner and analytical arm to senior leadership in the GTM organization, providing budget guidance, performance reporting, and decision support
  • Design and implement major aspects of GTM planning & analysis 
  • Own the full-funnel GTM bottoms up model, including performance-to-plan reporting and reforecasting
  • Develop and maintain operational models that influence GTM plans – including productivity models to forecast headcount needs, financial models to evaluate the ROI of expansion, and customer segmentation for both direct sales and partnerships
  • Drive the compensation design and quota-setting process, and support attainment forecasting and reporting
  • Develop actionable reporting and dashboards to ensure senior GTM leadership and the executive team continually has an accurate understanding of performance vs. targets
  • Own development, reporting, and analysis of GTM KPIs and unit economics to our board and investors (quarterly board presentations, monthly KPI reports, ad hoc analyses) and across the company to contextualize performance
  • Partner with our Deals Desk team on pricing- and margin-related analyses
  • Actively work with all GTM teams to continually optimize client facing processes in order to achieve performance targets
  • Develop and execute initiatives designed to optimize sales team efficiency and productivity. 
  • Develop our Finance team's best practices and technological capabilities and nurture cross-department partnerships with all GTM teams
  • Achieve buy-in and consistent understanding of GTM strategy and targets across GTM teams


What We’ll Love About You

  • 3-5+ years of experience in finance with emphasis on corporate strategy, analysis, forecasting, planning, and modeling
  • 2+ years in a growing usage- or consumption-based tech business
  • Demonstrated understanding of usage-based recurring revenue models
  • Demonstrated analytical expertise and experience in financial modeling
  • Experience building variable compensation strategy
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High growth, early stage experience strongly preferred
