Staff People Analyst

At SoFi, we are focused on building the best culture for our employees. To support this, we are growing our People Analytics team to help us make more informed decisions when it comes to our talent. We are looking for a Senior Workday People Analyst to help us build the framework for scalable data, reporting, and analytics solutions in Workday and in BI tools (i.e. Tableau). 


In this role, you will create reports, and dashboards that assess organizational health, diagnose business needs, identify areas for improvement, and analyze data to influence SoFi’s people strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong prior experience in Workday reporting and Tableau, analytics and the ability to turn data into insights.


What you’ll do:

  • Provide Workday reporting and analytical support to various stakeholders including the People team function, global functions and downstream systems
  • Partner with peers to design and build Workday and Tableau dashboards that support the strategic goals of the company. 
  • Build and maintain the foundational elements that will enable greater access reporting and analytics across the organization.
  • Partner directly with stakeholders, apply your expertise in data & quantitative analysis to see beyond the numbers, and translate complex business issues into actionable insights
  • Make strategic recommendations on the systems, methods, and practices we need to explore for most effective and scalable outcomes
  • Improve the efficiency and/or automation of reporting and analytic processes
  • Help drive data integrity across the People team’s systems and partner to develop good data governance


What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of advanced Workday reporting (e.g.composite, matrix, and discovery boards) experience required and PRISM experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR reporting and analytics experience required (e.g. recruiting metrics, engagement and retention, DEI, and other people analytics)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields, equivalent experience, or certifications required
  • Strong ability to develop & present actionable insights to various audiences
  • Expertise in data collection and HR data visualization skills
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Python) strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple challenging projects that require creativity and problem solving
  • Exceptional ability to review, prepare, audit and ensure accuracy of data

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location. 

 

Pay range: $86,400.00 - $162,000.00


Payment frequency: Annual
